Default At&t communication manager question

hello to all i have looked for an answer everywhere. I just downloaded att communication manager so i can tether my internet to my notebook. i can bring up the signal on it and it identifies as my phone and then i start to connect and it says 743 potocol failed and was terminated i looked it up to figure some ways to fix it but all the things i have tried have not worked does anyone know how to use it or fix it?

i suggest pdanet way better than paying a monthly tethering plan

You don't need anything extra to tether.

ATT did not do anything to restrict tethering on the Q9h. There is a program IntShrUI.exe in the windows directory. Just run that, hit connect and plug in the usb cable. It's that simple. If you want, add a shortcut to it and put it in the start menu.

PDAnet is good if you want to do bluetooth tethering but the cable is faster.
