Default 1 Speed Dial does not dial Voicemail anymore

Had anyone lost all their speeddial functions before? I used to have each digital assigned to speeddial, and my #1 is reserved for VM, but it does not work anymore. VM is not in my contacts either, anyone know why this happened and how to fix it? Thanks

I can't tell you how this might have happened but I might be able to help you with a fix...

Start>System Tools>Settings>Phone>more>My numbers
Make sure your phone number with the 1 in front (1xxxxxxxxx) is in voice line 1. If not, menu>edit.

Go to Start>Speed Dial and check to see if voice mail is listed in the first position. If not, there is a help section there to tell you how to add a number.

Hope this helps,
DQ

I've got the same problem. When I try to save it the phone tells me that space #1 is reserved.

There are a couple of threads that might be helpful depending on your phone and carrier. Here are a couple:
Speed Dial Link
Voice Mail Link

The settings are right, but for some reason holding down 1 still does not work. Ive just reassigned my own number to a different keypad number and holding down that works. Id rather have it working like it used to though.

I cannot comment as to why you may have lost all speed dial functions but I have had an ongoing problem with Outlook. It does not store either the speed dial or custom ring tones assigned to my contacts. I frequently get sync. error messages regarding a change in my server (which there wasn't) and when I try to correct it the phone loses the speed dial and custom ring settings.
If someone knows where the contact data is stored on the phone I might be able to write a routine that will back it up.
Good luck!

Which Q do you have? Did you look at the DTMF and My Number Settings (I'm sure you did). It doesn't make sense that the other numbers work and #1 doesn't. *scratching head*

We need the SUPER MODS on this one! Hockey? Rude Boy? Somebody help us noobies! We're drowwwwwwniiiiiiiing! LOL LOL

When you go into settings>phone>call options, do you see your phone number and voice mail number to your carrier?

My options do show my phone number and voice mail number. The 1 just doens't work. I thought it was just mine, but this seems to be a somewhat common problem.
