 |  Windows Mobile Device Center Won't Launch I installed Windows Mobile Device Center on my Vista Computer but when I connect my phone the computer finds the phone and will even sync with windows media player 11 but Windows Mobile Device Center is no where to be seen. However I can drag files straight to the device through my computer. I have these folders: Application Data ConnMgr docprof Documents and Settings MAPI Music My Documents Program Files These folders and inside the '\' drive. Could I use one of these folders to install a .cab file?

 | Sure. And to avoid confusion as to what you can/can't delete after the install why not use My Documents. There are no program files in there to confuse anyone and delete the wrong one. You are good to go on this .. wonder why Mobile Center isn't starting? hum?......

| Thanks for the suggestion but I think I fixed my problem.  What happened is that the disc that came with the phone had outdated software and didn't work on Vista. So I went straight to microsoft.com and downloaded that latest version and installed. Now its working.
