WILL 3rd PARTY PROGRAMS FROM MY OLD Q WORK IN Q9c? - Motorola Q Forum

So what's the deal? Can I use the same programs I loaded onto my old Q in my new Q9c, or do I have to buy all New/Update versions specifically for the Q9c? I love PDAnet, Pocket Light, Pacman, SmartTweaker, Sprite Backup, HTC (Registry) Unlock, etc. Thanx for any help you can provide. Best, -Z-

Yup! The Q9c is everything the Q was, and much more. Much better phone. Enjoy!

Why do you say that? I use Candlelight and don't have any problems, other than the occasional annoying ?/0 bug (can't use the "0" key to select the "?"), but that is usually fixed with a soft reset. Just gotta make sure to have SMART BACKLIGHT disabled (Settings -> Power Management -> Smart Backlight -> Disable ).

there have been many issues reported with the Q9c and candlelight
so to avoid those best to not install since you already have the smartbacklight program preinstalled
