Informative Stuck on the "M" screen?...Try this...

and you've held the chrome key down & turned it on & it won't reset...still?

Take the battery out....plug in the charger without the battery, then hold the chrome key & turn it on.
It will then Master reset...worked for me...finally...after 5 hours of no luck.
Who would of thought taking the battery out & then plugging it in would do the trick...duhhh

Mine was stuck on the "M" screen in the worst way & I could not get past it...lousy "Facade" program...had it one day, then the M screen of death

I doubt it was facade. Countless others (myself included) have been using facade for quite a while with no problems. But thank you for the advice anyway.

and that method to get to a Master Reset is very well known & advised many many tomes.

plus i would be careful blaming a app that countless people use for extended amounts of time...

potQ.

He wasn't asking for help. He was stating what worked for him. Unless I read the original post wrong, I didn't see a question anywhere.

Did you?

Find that specific quote, Rudey. It does not exist. Produce it & I'll say I am wrong.

I blamed Facade because...I can!!! I had no problems with anything else...so wahhhhh!

I have had my Q9C for aprox 45 days and havent had any real issues ( screen dust aside ) all of a sudden i awoke this morning to a phone that was dead. The phone was not charging at all last night so it cant be blamed on that. I am an avid task manager " kill all" user so it cant be blamed on too many tasks running. I have not installed any new apps in probably 20 days... ect ect ect ..... well when i went to turn on the phone i was greeted with the familiar "M" and thats it.
I have been searching for hours on the internet and so far every "Master reset" method has not worked for me. MLBGK's method finally worked and although i have to reinstall all my crap, I HAVE A PHONE AGAIN.

THANKS MLB!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I can vouch for the fact that it has been mentioned somewhere, most likely here..... because I've read about it. Not that I needed it myself (I was reading about it when my wifes' Pantech smartphone locked up...which I returned and changed to another phone anyways), but I do remember that being mentioned. Just thought that I'd input that, as well as that Facade has 'ABSOLUTELY NOTHING' to do with the screen freezing up.....
