i believe you can run them from the storage card as along as they are in the root directory and all the coding points the images to the image in the storage card

I wouldn't try it.
What would happen if you did a master reset?

Don't mention sprite backup because if you restore from their after doing a master reset you are putting the same junk and problems back on.

Yeah I'm gonna give this idea up, just too much of a hassle, just trying to run as much that I can on my storage card......

Default dont do it!!!!

fyi, I did this after RE entering my contacts into my phone. (moving files to SD)

I thought I would save RAM by moving root files over to my SD card.

Well, I screwed the whole phone up and had to do a hard reset. Took a whole weekend to get back up and running and to restore contacts for the second time. (p.s. thanks Dashwire)

Save your SD cards for media, and documents... things like that. Don't go moving anything that came installed on the device. If it's not broke... don't fix it. Unless your RAM is used to 90% or soemthing.

Hope this helps,

I keep a folder on the card for HS. When I feel like changing, just move the one I want over and put the old one back on the card.

doesn't save a bunch of space, but I have plenty of free time...
