Supposedly in the final version, it'll also use text messages as a trigger for push, but as of right now its useless to me.
how does the built in outlook trump seven? The lowest I can get my outlook sync to check is like every 5 minutes, and if I am not mistaken outlook like slows everything down and stuff

For one, there's no need for me to have software to sync my calendar OTA because I use ActiveSync on a regular basis. Two I have tried Seven once before and I was not pleased with it's performance.

I am sticking to Mobipush because it has worked flawlessly for quite some time. Email hits my Q9c immediately upon hitting my providers server. Yes I will continue to use MP even if they do start charging. Free is not always good and I will refuse to settle for low performance just to save a few bucks...kinda like putting 87 octane in a Mustang when it requires 93.

Well first of all I should point out I don't sync my calendar. Secondly, as I said, with most IMAP accounts, Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo being exceptions, that's exactly what Seven does, check every five minutes.

I just installed Seven today and using it with my Gmail account. Seems to be ok so far. The "push" is not truly instant. It takes about 30 seconds from when it hits by inbox for it to show on my phone. Still not bad though. I haven't tried Mobipush but maybe I will if I have a problem with Seven and I dont see a problem yet.

Seven made my Q9c much more sluggish and I hated that it had to be running in order to work.

I haven't noticed anything sluggish yet but I don't have many things installed. I also usually don't have many apps running at once. I tried to set up Mobipush but going thru the steps it kept telling me I need to stop activesync or it can't go thru. im not sure how to do that.

Mobipush works with your intergrated Outlook so there is no need to have any other software running. As far as setting up your phone all u need to do is configure ActiveSync server settings with the Mobipush settings.

I have heard from lots of other people that the fact that you have to give them your e-mail passwords on the website and not remotely, people seem to think it is a security issue. So I got rid of mobipush and got seven....plus I was having issues with my AOL e-mails but apparently it is fixed now

Yeah I thought about that too. but the fact that Seven has to be running in the background to work is a drawback for me. I still may go back to it but I just wanted to try Mobipush since I heard good things about it. I finally go it to work now too so I'll see how this goes
