Default roaming

hey everyone im new to this forum. I have a Q9c and when i have roaming on it does not pick up any calls or text messages. when i put it back to sprint service its works fine. I have roaming included on my plan also.

please help. thank you!

go to
start > settings > phone settings > network
make sure that it is set to automatic, that should fix the calls.
Data services do not work when roaming (usually) not sure about text.

i just tried that. it switched from sprint to roaming and i called it form my house.it rang but it didnt come up on my phone. i waited till it said sprint again and it worked.

the data roam guard?
Mine is off (just tried it myself) I also cannot receive calls while roaming, I can place calls though.

thats lame because like 2 months ago i would have it on and i would receive calls and texts while in my basement.wtf.lol

I never even noticed, I have to drive about 75 miles to find a roaming area...

by my house i have no bars but service. and its a pain in the azz to get a call and a recieving a text takes 2x longer it aggravates me cuz i found out about roaming that that helped me 100% and now it isnt working.lol

is there any way to help get more service or something?haha

If you have a decent sized back yard (preferably on a hill) you could see if sprint would put a tower there. A friend of mine was offered $2800 a month by sprint to put a tower on his property. His neighbors under bid him to $1400 (and they didn't even get free service out of it).
Other than that, there are options. But they aren't cheap.
A repeater can run around 300.

haha like a hug tower? ya... mines a little back yard but its on a hill. i just wish the darn romaing would work again
