q9c freezing after installing chomeweather

I noticed that when I used the "automatically update homescreen" option I had lockups. when I don't use that I'm fine, although it's hard to tell if the weather is updating. It doesn't switch days by itself.

same here - NRG weather very sluggish and unstable. uninstall didnt fx all the issue. had to do master reset

There is a version 3 that was released with the 6 day layout that works well on my Q9c. You should not use the update home screen option, & with the 6 day layout, I have disabled the extra 10 day panel that refuses to update without a reboot. It is very stable on my phone.

I did use v3.0

what do you mean by "You should not use the update home screen option"?

Also, how do you "disabled the extra 10 day panel " ?

In the start menu, click on NRG Weather Options. Go to the advanced options and be sure to set Reload HomeScreen to No. If this option is enabled, you will have all kinds of problems on the Q9c.

The 10 day extended forecast uses the built-in Welcome Center panel. Download Chome Configurator and use that to hide the Welcome Center panel and be sure that the CTestUI panel is still showing. The home screen will crash after you make these changes, but a reboot will get you humming along again.

There is an update file on page 15 that you'll want to get in the NRG Weather 3.0 thread on xda.

I hope all this can be understood clearly... This app is driving me crazy! When I first installed it, it wasn't working. Then I searched through a kajillion pages and saw that rainmakerrc had the 6 day slim panel working so i tried that and maybe messed around with some other settings (don't remember), and walahh... It worked........ That is, until I thought everything was howdy doody and thinking to myself that I was a genius tried to see if the NRG slim panel would work. Since then neither NRG slim nor the 6 day slim panel are updating/working. I now have it on "6 day" but on the slide it says "N/A" centered on the top of the slide inside the little Earth picture. On Monday thru Saturday, none of the temps show. HEEEELLLP! I also noticed that since the Chome Weather 3.0 install, my phone has been sluggish. There's a noticably long lag in the homescreen when manuevering between slides. Sometimes I have to press again but it would make both moves at once, and so I have to go back one.

HELP! I don't want to have to go through a hard reset to get this all working! I spent the whole day today messing with Chome Weather...

Update... Removed and reinstalled... Started over and now it seems like it's working. I got a headache just from this one program all day so it better stay working. * crosses fingers*

One thing though. My esmertec jbed seems to have disappeared from the programs folder. Anyone know why?
