Default Q9C backlight stays on...

The backlight on one of my Q9c's stays on and can't get it to shut off. It will be full brightness for a few seconds, then dim some and then full brightness. I thought it was something to do with the Smart Backlight, so I disabled it. Still the same problem.

This all started the last time I used the SEVEN push application a couple od days ago. It wanted to install a new update, so I went ahead and let it update. That's wnen the problem started, I think. After awhile, I just uninstalled SEVEN. I still have the problem.

One thing that I did find out was if I went into the Wireless Manager and shut off the phone, no more problem. The backlight is back to normal. This defeats the purpose of the phone.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't had the problem personally, but before you uninstalled seven did you disable the push? It is possible that the server side of their program is still trying to push email to your phone, causing the backlight to stay on.
Or it may be something else entirely. (I'm just spitballing here)

I didn't think of that. I wonder if I have to reinstall it and then disable the push. If I do that, how do you disable the push?

Honestly, I don't remember exactly (I only used seven for a few days).
Check in the settings within the seven program after you reinstall.

I reinstalled it, but can't find anywhere to disable the push other than "while roaming".

After deleting the messages that may have shown up inany accounts you have set up, try deleting the accounts before you uninstall.

Yea, that's a thought. I have just a Yahoo account on it right now and the backlight seems to be working like it should. Maybee, I'l just leave well enough alone for a few days and see if the problem crops up again. Then, if it does, I'l remove it in that order.
