Predictive text stopped working

Somehow, my predictive stopped working and I cannot get it back on. I've tried everything I can think of and cannot get it to work. I went to the text input settings menu and turned everything on and it still does not work. Can anyone shed some light on this. Thanks.

have you cleared out the library? Also clearing out internet temp and history files may help

try switching it off then back on then restart your phone

Yea, I've tried that with no success.

Mine had the same problem. The cause is Yahoo! Go.

Fix:

Get a reg editor, and go to

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Controlls\

Make sure fCapEdit and TextMode are set to 1

same thing happened to mine and I didn't have yahoo go! installed. took the device to the service store and about 45 minutes later walked out of there with a new q9c.

Be happy it doesn't work.
Is everything backed up?
If so, do a master reset.
Then see if it works.
If it does, reinstall apps one by one.

Hi, I'm new to these forums. I had the same problem with predictive text and I heard that your solution worked. I may be totally lame, but what's reg editor? Is it a program I have to download? I'd love to have my predictive text back and I think my Yahoo Go! screwed it up. Thanks!
