predictive text stopped working!

It just stopped working. I didn't change a thing. The only thing I did before it stopped working was install Yahoo 2Go. I uninstalled it but predictive text still doesn't work.

I checked the text input setting and it is still checked to start suggesting after one letter. Any suggestions?

No, reboot didn't help. I even removed the battery. I really want to avoid a master reset to fix this.

Have you tried de-activating predictive text and re-activating it? Maybe clearing out the predictive text dictionary?

Sure did. It still doesn't work.

I found the answer to my problem in an earlier post. Yahoo 2go was in fact what caused the problem.

This was the fix:

goto registry
HKCU\software\micrsoft\shell\controls\

are both of the values (fcapedit and textmode) 1

Setting both values to 1 fixed it!

I had Yahoo! Go 3.0 installed, but went back to 2.0 over the weekend because of the address book sync. Didn't realize until today that I can't spell lol
