Default Not Dust, But Creaking Coming from Keys

Anyone else experience the sound of plastic creaking/snapping when using their soft keys or the call/end call buttons? It is not that bad, but it is driving me crazy, and Sprint says it is normal. They said that the plastic/buttons are just wearing in. I don't have any dust under my screen, but it does seem to be a little worse on the right side. Some of the creaking is coming from the battery cover. Am I insane?

If understand what's happening, try this thread. According to the thread, it's the glue between the key and actual button underneath coming apart, and it doesn't change the effectiveness of the softkey at all. My left softkey has been doing it for a while now and I haven't had any problems.

Thanks. I actually had asked the Sprint technician about the glue possibility, but they said that there is no glue around the soft key area. Can anyone confirm? I have read about how to take the screen off and blow out the dust, but it appears that adhesive is just some sort of sticky residue that goes around the face? So there is no harm in using the phone like this? I am outside of 30 days.

I have used my q9c for nearly 4 months and have both soft keys and the end key making that noise. Started about 3 weeks after purchase and I don't even notice it anymore. It hasn't posed any problems in functionality as of yet.

My left softkey just starting doing that. I'm almost at my 30 days. It doesn't seem to screw with the phone but... I sure does drive me nuts!

You'll get used to it. As long as it doesn't affect the ability of the bottom to function correctly, I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Yeah, it seems to be working fine, but you have to admit that it is annoying as all h*ll.

My problem is that when I first got the phone, it didn't do it. Now basically anything below the screen and above the qwerty keys (besides the directional pad) clicks when pressed. Sometimes it clicks louder than other times. It really is annoying, especially if rattles and stuff like that bother you. Not sure what can be done, if anything.

I just bought mine about 3 weeks ago and my phone does the same thing. It works perfectly fine. It does get a little annoying but it works. So I wouldn't be to worried. Some of my old nextel motorola phones made the same clicking noise. It has to be the way motorola builds their phones.
