Default No email alert (sound) on POP3

Hi everyone. I've been a lurker here for a long time. Excellent community.

Verizon Q9c

2 questions for everyone. I believe they may have been covered in other threads, but my searches have come up short.

1. I get no audible email alert on my POP3 email. I get one for the Outlook account, but nothing for the POP3. I have gone to Settings>Sounds, and everything looks right.

2. When my Outlook account syncs (wireless or connected to PC), it tries to open up an Oulook Web Access page. I look at the screen and there is my email's OWA webpage. ? How can I stop that?

Thanks in advance.

[STRIKE]1. I get no audible email alert on my POP3 email. I get one for the Outlook account, but nothing for the POP3. I have gone to Settings>Sounds, and everything looks right.[/STRIKE]

I think I figured it out... It looks like it's a setting in the homescreen you use. I picked a different one, and I get an audible signal from all email accounts.

2. When my Outlook account syncs (wireless or connected to PC), it tries to open up an Oulook Web Access page. I look at the screen and there is my email's OWA webpage. ? How can I stop that?

Number 2 is still an issue. UPDATE: It's only when I force the sync. When it syncs on the timer or push, it's fine.

To stop in number 2, go into your settings for outlook and disable OWA.

BTW, Outlook Web Access has some bad features that make your computer more vulnerable than it should be.

Where is that setting? I have gone through all the settings on my Q and I don't see anything for disabling OWA (or enabling it).

The only thing I see is a screen that says:

"Edit Server Settings"
Server Address:
|
Note: This is your Outlook Web Access server address.

You have to have something in the box or else it won't let you continue.

Confusing...
