Arrow New to Q (I have Verizon)

Hello everyone and everythingQ

I had just gotten the Q9c on Saturday and I want to know as much as I can about this phone.
I feel I know only a little and I have been online since I got home on Saturday looking up apps and info about this phone.
For future info, I have Verizon.

Now for the questions:
1. What kind of apps are available to a guy like me with Verizon. (The more I look around, the more people I see complaining that Verizon disables a lot of stuff).
2. What kind of things do Verizon disable on this phone?
3. I used to "IM" people with MSN/AIM/Y! on my old RAZR V3m phone. Is there anyway I can do it with this one? I only have the unlimited TXT Messaging plan and like 2100 minutes. From what I know, I don't have unlimited DATA and I do not want to risk it with the fokes. So if there is one that would use my texting and not data like my old RAZR did, it would be much appreciated.
4. Is there anyway to get the verizon shopping thing on this? That is how I downloaded the IM software and some other things. Since only .CAB file from what I know can be run on this, I am not sure if it can be done.
5. Can I set-up the Q9c to use my router as an access point to the internet instead of verizon's web thing? Again as stated above, I don't have unlimited DATA.
6. I read somewhere on this website about hacking this phone. I have hacked all my video game systems (Excluding Wii/360) and my old RAZR V3m. Since I have done all that, do you guys think it would be easy for me to be able to hack this with the tools and all that I have seen?
7. Lastly, what hacks are there and what do they do???

My thanks:
Thank you everyone for reading and helping me. It is much appreciated and I hope I can learn enough about this phone to be able to help others.

I have looked around before and after me posting this thread.
I know that is basically the rules in asking questions.
I researched more on the hacks. They seem easy but none are needed for me since it is pretty much Web-speed-ups that are the big ones and I don't have DATA unlimited.

I researched the IM thing a little more and I think that it is call IM tethering w/ SMS.
I have looked at several threads and sites. I cannot find an app relating to a good IM SMS software.
If anyone knows of any of the backhand, it will be much thanks.

As for PDANET
It had came with my phone. It is not what I am talking about. I don't want to be able to get the internet onto my laptop through my phone. I want to be able to go online through my router or other access points.

it will cost you some data to download the IM program but after it is downloaded you will only use SMS to chat.

I apologize
I had just double checked the CD-Rom that had come with my phone.
It is just some look-alike software from Verizon.

Thank you cliffr39 for the information, I am going to download it soon.

Now all I need to to hook Wi-Fi Internet instead of Verizon Internet.
Thank you everyone who has even bothered to look.

Ok, so I had downloaded and installed the .CAB file and when I had run it it had said, "Unable to identify the device."
Any ideas?

Note: I had looked around and the website said that the .CAB file only works on a different version on the Q9m if i recall right, I have the Q9c. But the IM portion of the site says that it works on the Q9c.

Is anyone else having trouble getting VZAppZone to run? I downloaded ok, but when trying to run it in order to get the VZ Mobile IM app, it says "Unable to identify the device". I am using a Q9C, one of the devices shown to be in the "approved" group.

I got it all done last night.
I had emailed verizon about the situation I had which is that same as you.
He had said that the App to get to the IM-App is not available to the Q9c.
He also had said that the only one compatible with the Verizon Q9c and run off of TXT is the one that Verizon has group up with which is Handago's IM App, imov. It costs about $20 and I think it is worth it because I use the IM feature a lot.

NOTE:
-The only thing is that you need a credit card to get it and you will be charged DATA since you are technically browsing the internet.
-When you first install it, you will have to create a Jabber account which is how you will log into imov. Once you set up all of you account info such as AIM/MSN/Y!/etc... I recomened you log out and then restart your phone. I had to do that to get it to work 100%.
