My son bought a used phone and it is password protected how can we reset the password. can't reset, because we had it flashed to cricket

Master reset? Turn phone off, while turning back on hold down the select button on the D pad.

thank you but now when i try to get picture mail, it tells me login error

i'm trying to get picture mail, I've reset , now new error message , login error instead of password
