is it true that you can only use windowss xp and not vista to put music on my Q? forgive me i'm new with windows and now new with my great Q that I love so far.

you just need to use Windows Mobile Device Center instead of Active Sync..

If you want to sync music from playlists, etc. then you would want to use Windows Media Player 11, the procedure is identical on Vista and XP. Just connect your Q, open Media Player, and go to the Sync tab. From there you can name the device, set up sync playlists, etc. This is a good option if you want to display album art, ratings, and other data.

rudeboy is also correct about using Mobile Device Center... you can just drag audio files from your computer to your Q by opening MDC and selecting "Explore."

I prefer option #1 because once you set it up, the sync is automated... just like your contacts or email. I use Vista and it works perfectly for me.
