The poll still overstates the situation, at least for me. I have NEVER had this problem in any regular phonecall. It only happens to me for *2 customer service calls, and let's face it... I don't call Sprint unless I absolutely, absolutely need to.

Which is fair, of course, I have been unable to replicate this at all. So it's not a consistent thing. Which by no means makes your issue less annoying, just more confusing.

wow, so if you dial *2 and wait 30 seconds, the phone app doesn't disappear? That's incredible! When did you get your phone?

March of this year. It was a replacement for my MotoQ which was, by far, the largest steamy pile of crap I had ever used. I mean, it worked well for about four hours a day. The rest of the time it was just a paperweight.
Maybe the newer phones don't have this problem. I know a lot of people are seeing the issue, which makes me think I am the exception here.
