I guess Im the 8th in this thread.

I took my phone to a Sprint store. They wanted to order a refurb for me. I don't want a refurb. If I ever needed to sell this a refurb fetches a lot less money plus with my luck I will get the water damaged refurb. No thanks. Instead of using *2 I use the Sprint direct number. Much easier to use.

I have the problem about once every other day. It does not matter who I am calling. It does not happen on incoming calls. I have tried doing a soft reset once aday - no effect, I have changed the call display timer at the end of the call - no effect, I have put the phone into flight mode to end the call and then turned it back on to regular service without a reset.
Not very impressed with the device software - hope wm6.1 will fix the problem - but based on Moto past practices not real hopeful. If it wasn't a company phone and line I would have sent it to the trash - could not morally sell it to anyone.
Anyone with any ideas how to fix this would be great! I would love to give the device a second chance as it does have some good features (other than the poor bluetooth stack that does not work with CoPilot - oh it will until you install any other program).

Treefrog - Funny thing is used to not have this problem. I read about it here, but it only started happening after i did a prl update to 60611. I am not saying that did it because thats just he roaming list, but it is real strange. I don believe anyone has found a definite fix as yet.

Yeah. It's frustrating. Sprint isn't being too helpful either of course.

It seems to be happening more often. Today it has happened three times. The only real temp tix is to take out the battery and hope for the best.

It seems to be a pretty common problem (at least with happening occasionally). Please try to raise awareness to sprint by shooting them an email at ecare1@cc.sprintpcs.com Will take very little of your time but could impact us! They will be releasing a new ROM at the end of the summer with WinMo 6.1, so hopefully this can get included!

same here only with cs and 1 time to a another mobile, not sure if the battery was low, hasn't happen again.

it is on sprints end, and i jus know when it happens....no solution

I've never had a problem with ending my call. Even if the screen disappears I can still end the call from the home screen by pressing the end call button.
