if you dont have data you should uninstall google maps right away
it uses data to get your position...you will be charged alot if you use it alot

welcome to EQ!!

If you are interested in GPS without using data, check out Garmin Mobile XT, or Copilot, or there's also an offering by TomTom (but I'm not sure if it works on the Q). These include maps so they don't need to be downloaded.
And welcome aboard

Is having the Q9c worth having without a unlimited data plan. I would strongly suggest getting one. As the other poster stated...google maps will use data. Windows live does the same. Some apps you could install are well, um, you could transfer music and add some pics. Either way welcome to EQ.

One thing about the q that I think is really cool is how you can set it to let you know when you receive a personal home email.

I used smartphones for 2 1/2 yrs without data and it didn't bother me.
Now that I have it, I will always want it.

Anyhow somebody please check out my stick on all apps that I listed so far.
I even put them in order and labeled which were free.

Nobody cares about poor ol Tony
