Default Internet Sharing....

Please bare with me on this one...complete newb...

Can I connect my Q9c via USB to my desktop and use my desktops internet connection to surf the net with my q9c?...since the q9c doesn't have wifi...correct?

Hopefully I explain that correctly...and if so...what do I need to do to accomplish this?

Thanks...

I doubt it. The Q9c doesn't have any way to configure network connections or to detect or select a network other than it's own default ones. You'd likely need some sort of custom driver and you could maybe utilize a cable modem directly but I doubt even that is possible. Of course, I could be wrong. I've never tried connecting it to another network myself and I've only owned a Q for around 12 days and haven't fully explored its internet sharing capabilities. I assume people would use that to circumvent their service provider's data plan so it would not be allowed.

No problem. Maybe someday we will the ability to manage TCP/IP but I wouldn't look for it anytime soon.

I don't know about the Q9c, but my iPAQ (now my tv remote) could use my computer's internet connection when synced to surf. So it is possible on that at least, and that uses WM2003SE.

EDIT: ^just like enJost says.^

I think what the OP wants to do is surf the net on his Q through his desktop's internet connection, not vice versa.
