Internet Explorer Favorites on the Q9c - Motorola Q Forum

How does activesync work in regards to my I.E. browser on my pc and the I.E. on the Q9c? Will it sync if over a favorite I save on the I.E. on the pc to the phone and vice versa?

You have to check Favorites in ActiveSync settings and then it will sync automatically vice versa.

Actually Ive done this but the favorites on the phone are not synching over to the pc however the favorites from the pc are syncing over to the phone. Any ideas on whats wrong?

That's exactly how active sync describes it working, so I don't think there's anything wrong.

So your saying that the favorites on my Q9c not synching over to my pc's favorites is normal? That doesnt sound right. I believe it should sync both ways.

the way active sync describes it is
"This service synchronizes your favorite links from your desktop to your mobile device"
I always had favorites checked in my active sync setups since I got my first pda 5 years ago and nothing ever showed up in the folder until I manualy put my favorites into it this morning when you posted.

you have to put them in the folder 'Mobile Favorites' on your PC otherwise they will not sync over

open up favorites and you should see a folder with 'Mobile Favorites'

yeah, mobile favorites. That's what I meant to say...
basically it's an easy way to back up your PIE favorites (if you haven't gotten sprite backup yet)

Thats exactly where I have them in and they do sync over fine but it does bother me that I cant sync over a favorite from the Q9c to the pc. Oh well...
