How in the world do I install apps and wallpapers/home sceens on this?

It has been frustrating me so much and I just can't figure it out at all so I need a little help. I have the sync installed for my Q9c and everything but I just don't know how I can download apps and such to my computer and then transfer it to my phone through syncing it. For instants, I downloaded a home screen off of one of the forms on here, I tried extracting the files, but I didn't know where to put them so they would sync to my phone.

Now I don't know if I'm going about this the totally wrong way or if I'm just making it harder then it is, but I am about to go nuts trying to figure this all out.

A little help please? I beg.

See I looked at that, but I get lost at step 4. It doesn't explain it at all. ahhh!!

1. Hook your phone to your pc
2. ActiveSync will open on your desktop
3. Click Explore.
4. Copy the cab file to \Windows\Start Menu on your device

Okay, so am I suppose to copy the file from my computer to there? I don't get it. I just need someone to explain it.

if its a cab file (might look like a zp file but dont unzipit ) just copy it to any where on your Q ..... using your Q open the cab file that you just saved and follow the installation steps

Okay but HOW do I get the file on my Q in the first place if I'm downloading it from my computer?

It's like this, I have my Q synced up to my computer. I surf and find some apps that I want to get. I click the button on the website and start downloading the file onto my computer. Here is were I get stuck. How do I get the file that I just downloaded to my computer onto my Q?
