Default "Hidden" data taking up room...found!

Hey all,

It's rarely been discussed here, but I just deleted the 'attachment' files in Windows\Messaging\Attachments, and cleared up 10 mb of space! I currently had no emails in my inbox, etc - so this is all old data that the Q9c (and some other models) creates on its own (they are not even usable files).

That's all, just thought this may help some.

Matt!

I think it's used for text messages as well. Mine is only 806kb (I keep my mailboxes cleaned out)

Looks like a master reset is in my future. I didn't delete the attachment folder as there was nothing in there. But rather I deleted 3 files that ended in .mpb and now I can't send or receive text messages. That's what I get for deleting willy-nilly!!

if you keep the text message folders "clean" there should not be too many .mpb files...very odd THR that it caused an issue.....

My bad, been dealing with a family emergency and forgot to pay my bill. I have been so stressed out that I didn't even realize that till I tried to make a call.

I've done that at the 11th hour too. I called Alltel and gave them a check number and that silly bank routing number and everything was fine. It was at the last minute, too! You could try to call them and see if they would do a one time electronic transfer. Most will let you. They understand.
You might want to try a different phone tho! <jk>

I am back on track. I called Sprint on the way home and paid. With everything else I am dealing with it completely slipped my mind. My cell is my only phone so with everything going on I really can't be without it.
