Default Help with built in speakers

Im not sure if the phone is defective or if Im just expecting too much from the speakers in the phone. When Im having a conversation or Im using the speaker phone feature or using a bluetooth headset everything sounds great. When Im playing back audio from the web, MP3, or audio recorded using voice notes the speakers on the phone sound sound kinds distorted and robot like. Using a bluetooth head set it sound fine. And the voice that I hear coming through the ear peice sounds great. Just any audio file that comes through the speakers located on the bottom of the phone sound like a robot in a tin can. Is this normal? My voice notes sound awful. Thats is my main concern. Thanks

welcome aboard....

i don't think the sound from the speakers is distorted, could be the device.. note i have a Q1 and can not say a lot about the Q9.

I actually prefer the sound quality of the Q9 over the original Q, there is a difference but it is small (still a sound tech). Since the speakers are small they tend to be easy to overdrve. Have you tried tcpmp? If you have, lower the preamp slightly. It's possible that the song was recorded at a higher level than normal, and the preamp adjustment should correct that. If the problem remains, then it may infact be the speakers.

Default Better

Ive tried a couple high quality MP3 files and the speakers actually sound fine. Its when I play back a voice file recorded in voice notes do the speakers sound horrible. But they sound fine through a bluetooth headset. Kinda weird. Anybody else have this issue with voice notes?
