Default Gmail send/receive schedule

I am accessing my gmail account using IMAP on my Q9C and it works perfectly. The only thing I would like to change is the automatic send/receive schedule. I currently have it sent to receive once per day. I would like it to check once every 12 hours. The next most frequent option that the message settings gives me (besides once per day) is every 4 hours. Is there any way to change this?

Could always setup mobipush for the gmail account, then it will be EAS autopush on receive during peak hours (which you can define).

a quick and easy "instant notification" solution is to forward your email to [yourphone#]@vtext.com and as soon as there is a new message you get a txt with the header and enough of the message to know if you should hit send/receive. it works good for all my email addys (gmail, live, yahoo.) As long as your provider allows fwd a copy to another email box...your good.

well I guess only if you have vzw...i have no idea if other carriers have a similar txt-email address.

Is there a way this can be done with Sprint?

Think Seven uses text message notifications for email anyways.
