getting imap account from Outlook onto phone

I can't figure out how to get an imap email account from Outlook onto my Q. This is my first smartphone & I've only had it a few days, which has motivated me to start using Outlook again. I synced gmail to Outlook & it syncs right up to the Q, but my school email comes into Outlook thru a separate imap inbox instead of the main one & doesn't seem to sync with the Q. Anyone know how/if I can do this?

hmmm....i had errors syncing with imap too...

what about just setting up the imap on ur phone and not syncing? and setting it to delete messages off server....
