| Contacts lost, again. I'm so confused. Last night, I went to make a call, and the persons name didn't come up as usual. Long story short, I noticed ALL my contacts were gone, not one, not a few, but my entire phonebook. I called Sprint, and to no avail, I can go to the tore to retrieve a printout of all my calls and texts. So I thought ok, I could do that, it'll piss me off, but I can do that. This morning when arriving at work, I messaged a few people to get their numbers, and when I began to enter the number, their names came up, AWESOME! Well, after getting home tonight, I went to make a call, and they were all gone, again. I called Sprints "advanced technical support" and was told to power cycle, remove the battery, all the things on their checklist they have. So I was told my only option is to do a master reset. I find that hard to believe, but I need that to be my last option. Has anyone experienced this, and if so, how you resolved it? I'm not sure what else, I've performed all the hacks mentioned here in the hacks thread, and installed System SEVEN, no problems for over a month, until last night, and nothing was modified in the last month. Please help! |

Please help! | Do you have any backups from a backup program?
I would do a hard reset and see what happens.
Then go and buy sprite backup. |

| yep, what the previous poster said.... to be quite frank here, in this day and age.. with the possibilities and applications available it's more or less your own fault if you lose them.. especially when you said "again".

| Have you deleted any sync relationships on your phone lately through Activesync? If so this may be the problem. When you do this, associated content such as contacts are deleted as well. |

| Got them back, but weird I realize it was my stupidity not to do a backup, but it's done now. I had my phone replaced today, and got back to the office, with no contacts. I have been using SEVEN to do everything, never Activesync. I loaded SEVEN back on, and weird as it sounds, all my contacts are back. I am going to have to do research on the Seven service and send them an email. But, I did get Sprite and did a backup on my SD, so I am set for whatever happens from now on. I appreciate all your help, everyone here, you're a wonderful group! |
