Default close applications

how do i completely close appliciations like text messaging, and camera. wen i think i completly closed the application, i go to the task manager and it shows me all the programs are still running. how do i completely close them without having to go the task managing and closing it from there.

but doesnt it kill batery if many programs are running.

not if your not using them...
unless they are running and picking up data like say fizz weather or somthing its not really doing much of anything there

rarely do i clean out the task manager

I think that it kills the app if you formally exit from the program. In other words, while in the app, press menu>exit.

most native apps don't have an exit... heck, even some 3rd party apps don't have them..

I am an app closing nazi. I use AE Button Plus mapped to the red hang up button, which closes the active application. It is addressed here. AE Button Plus works very well and it's free.

I also use the task manager built into phoneAlarm to manage active (open) applications.

And I have the native task manager mapped via speed dial to the "x"/"8" key.

I used to use AE button plus, but I haven't really seen any benefits using it in wm6.1.

I am using it for no other purpose than to the active app without having to pull up any menus. For that purpose, it works great for me.
