Cant transfer files via Vista64 - Motorola Q Forum

This problem just popped up today. I originally was able to copy files to my Q9c via my Vista64 machine even without installing Windows Mobile Device 6.1. My pc simply recognized the q9c and the device showed in My Computer where I could copy files.

Today I wanted to copy files and I didnt get the pop-up and it wasnt showing in My Computer so I tried downloading the Windows Mobile Device software and made sure I had "enable advanced network functionality" (BTW- I tried this both ways, checked and unchecked) checked but still cant access my q9c. Mobile Device software also reports not connected even though the q9c is charging and the USB sound clicks in when connecting. Any advice? This is really weird since I was able to transfer my original music without a problem asa few weeks ago when I 1st got the q9c?

Did you restart your phone?

I found the solution. I needed to go into Active Sync on the Q9c and change the "Connections' settings. I placed a check in the box for "Synching all PCs with this connection" using the "Default USB" setting. When done I turn off to make sure Active Sync still works for my Corporate Email OTA.
