Exclamation Cannot Upgrade to WM 6.1

I have been trying to update to WM 6.1 for a few hours with no luck, so hopefully someone can help me figure out the problem!

I downloaded the software updater program from Motorola's website and ran it. When I plugged in my phone it says that no update is available for my phone. But I also noticed that it does not recognize my phones model number or operator. So these are the steps I've taken to fix the issue with no success:
  • Reinstalled Windows Mobile Device Center and Ended the partnership with my phone
  • Reinstalled Motorola Software Update
  • Restarted Phone numerous times
  • Restarted Computer
  • Master Reset my Q9c
None of these have seemed to work... hopefully someone can give me some advice - I've been waiting for 6.1 for a while! Thanks!

leave the partnership between PC and phone. allow WMDC to finish syncing, and then start Motorola Software Update.

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, this didn't work.... I am not sure why this is happening. The Moto software detects a phone is connected but does not show any updates nor my model numer or operator. (sigh)....

Try temporarilly disabling your firewall, it might be preventing the MSU from talking to your phone

Good call! I didn't even think of that! I disabled Comodo and Windows Vista Firewall and it all checked out! Thanks!
