| Can't Send a Text Message..... Help! I have had my Sprint 9QC for just over a month, I don't need to text message often, but every attempt to do so thus far has failed. I have enough bars, have the send-receive arrows (connection fine), can get to the internet fine, can email, etc. What I get for an error is:
"Alert The message was not sent to one or more recipients. To verify addresses and network coverage, select retry. To save drafts, select cancel." That's it... the recipients #'s are fine, etc. Just can't text message... I could just fine on my other phone Samsung a900? |

| did you install any 3rd party apps? or any registry hacks? is it only to the same person you get this message or everyone? |

| mine does that. A while back I had to remove txt from my account. (net stalker) They must have put on a sms block.
doubt its the Q, probabply a Sprint thing... |

| So.... ..... What the heck do I do?
I bought one of those BT keyboards to assist in my text messaging, emailing, etc. on the road... any advice? Do I go to Sprint?
(They have proven useless to me, have been a customer for years, all they try to do lately is rip me for services, rebates, errors in billing... always in their favor) |

| OK.... Fixed! I phoned Sprint (my first pleasant call in a long while with them)... anyway, called CS I stated that I have the Motorola 9QC and that I was unable to Text Message, cannot text message anybody, wont work regardless of reception, etc.
I stated that I wanted her to remove my texting capability of my plan, she said she was unable to do so do to my having the $99.99 Unlimited Plan.
The Fix: (I called CS from a different phone by the way)
So... Customer Support had me power off my phone, REMOVE the battery, wait 1 minute... place the battery back in, power up and retry.... IT WORKS!!! FIXED! CS stated that by powering down, removing the battery, placing it back in after 1 minute approx.. reboots the phone eliminating a whole host of other issues that can make the phone act quirky.... A GOOD NOTE TO KEEP IN MIND! THANKS Folks! Edmund |
