Yeah, the extended battery holds more and lasts longer.

I quickly replaced the large battery with the smaller 1130 mah battery. BUT, I also had to buy a Verizon replacement cover to get rid of the bump.

You should have seen the look on the guy's face at the Sprint store recently when the phone said Sprint on the front and Verizon on the back.

I recently purchased two BT60 batteries as well as the Verizon battery cover! What a GREAT change! The phone feels like a brand new phone in your hands! So sleek and sexy!!! Now, if it just had a touch screen, I would be in heaven. Unfortunately, I will be replacing my Q9c with a HTC Touch Pro when it comes out, as I need a touch screen to run some of my medical programs; however, replacing the battery and battery cover definitely decreased the weight and bulkiness of the phone!

As far as battery life, it has definitely decrease by switching batteries, but what can one expect? That is why I bought two and always carry a fully charged battery in my car. I even have the BT90 and battery cover in my car as well just in case...

My phone came from Alltel with the BT61 and the slimmer cover. I guess Alltel wanted to increase accessory sales by going back to the smaller battery so they could upsell to the larger one. I didn't know there *was* a larger battery until I came here . Anyway, I like mine the way it is and haven't (so far) had any complaints about the run time.

I got mine on ebay, do a search for "verizon q9m battery cover", that should give the most results. I think they run just a little more than $7 shipped.

BTW, I'm also sporting a Sprint Q9c with a Verizon battery door.
