 |  Adding "1" when long distance Telus must be the ONLY company in the world that will NOT connect you if the 10 digit number you dial is long distance from where you are!! Can anyone reccomend software I can install to manage my dialing so that if I AM long distance, it will add the 1, but if I'm LOCAL, it wont? Gavin |

| Just reprogram them all with the complete number, i.e. "1-574-xxx-xxxx." I started doing that a long time ago when traveling to Canada. It doesn't hurt anything at all. Pain in the ass to redo them all, but a few minutes of a pain in the ass is better than a pain in the ass everytime you need to make the call. My two pesos... |

| i am using Mobiion MagiCall, it is commercial and probably an overkill for what you are trying to achieve but it can rewrite outgoing phone number based on rules - i am using it for calling cards for international calls Art |
