 |  a couple questions i got a q9c yesterday and it is my first smart phone. after numerous attempts at trying to figure it out, i still cant find out where to download 3rd party apps, or how to install them. i have found a couple, like google maps, tcpmp, yahoo go!, and the MMS thing, but still cant figure out how to get them onto my phone and everything. im also wondering what are some must haves as far as free 3rd party apps go, and where to find them. also, is there any way to get the ringtones i had previously downloaded on other phones onto my q9c? i tried sprint.com but with no avail. before getting the phone, i researched a little and found a link from this forum to a site with a few homescreen layouts that i cant find now. what is the most recommended homescreen layout? how neccesary is an sd card? i dont have one yet, and was wondering if i really need one at the time, or if it is something that can be put off for a while. sorry for the length and amount of questions, just trying to kill 5 birds with one thread |

 | ....aaand welcome aboard a memory card is pretty much a must, you will run out of room quickly on the Q's memory. download apps like you would on a pc. If it is a cab file run it from the device to install. An exe file usualy needs to be installed from a pc. several favorite app threads check the homescreen section..lots to choose from. feel free to search for any other questions |

| welcome aboard. got the software forum and look at my sticky thread. there you can find apps and just enter them into a search to get them.

 | and you can get free ringtones at www.funformobile.com and then just copy them in the my documents folder and then go to settings sounds to pick your ringer |
