Default $12 Extended Battery

I read on here that the BT90 battery from Motorola works for the Q9c,
but how about the $12 battery (including shipping)
available from Eforcity/iTrimming (and ebay)?

"Type: Generic / Aftermarket
Cell type: Lithium Ion
Voltage: 3.7V
Weight: 2 oz
Color: White"

It has no brand name on it, it just says "For Mot Q"

I think the Moto Q and the Q9c use the same battery type, but I'm not completely sure.

In theory the battery should work, but Motorolla does not recomend using other batteries wih your Q (why would they?), and it could void the warrenty.

If you try it out and notice any problems, make sure to put the Moto battery back in before going to the service center.

Thanks for all the replies! This sounds scary -- I should just cough up the extra 10 bucks for a genuine BT90.

Cheers

I have had no problems in the past with other phones, but the Q acts funny when not using a moto charger, so it probably will act funny with a non moto battery.

I bought a regular sized battery and would be willing to part with my OEM extended battery. $20 + shipping if interested.
