USB charging

hi-today I purchased a Q from Verizon-my question is can I charge the phone while it is plugged into the USB port-I have know that it depends on the USB port so I guess I was wondering if anyone has had trouble with their Macs and syncing via USB

Unfortunately it won’t charge over USB from a Mac out of the box (even on a PC without ActiveSync installed). The USB interface on the phone has to be openned for charging to start.

that seems odd because it appears that I am able to do so because yesterday I turned off the phone and plugged it in and the charging screen appeared-it may be because I installed missing sync

but i will give that app a try-thanks

mine charges fine through USB. Just make sure it's not a bus powered hub, like ports on your usb keyboard. If you go directly into your computer, or through a self powered usb hub it'll charge.
