just for your information, i went ahead and broke down and bought missing sync 3.0 for windows mobile that way i could syng all my contacts and calender tasks etc via my macbook, getting this to work was very easy and straight forward....
as far as the tethering is concerned i did alot of research all over the net and found that you need pdanet 1.73 rc2 .. since we're both running mac and idk how to do it- you have to go over to sum1 running windows- preferably windows xp since the activesync for xp is a whole lot EASIER than vista. once you have your Q connected via active sync on the xp computer- google "pdanet 1.73 rc2" and download/install the software on the xp computer, once installed- it should either pop up automatically on your screen or you'll have to move it to your Q via the explore folder. after this is done and pdanet is installed on your Q, make sure your bluetooth is turned off and run pdanet, check the bluetooth connection dun box. once that is done, go to your mac and click on the airport symbol- than click on open internet connection, than click on bluetooth and set up a new connection-
leave the user name & password blank, and for the telephone number type in #777
make sure you include the "#" pound sign or it wont work. than click connect...
after all that it should work. or atleast mine did. sorry if this how to stuff is sloppy- i'm not much of an informant on telling people how to do stuff on here so i gave it my best shot... hope this helps!
