Default Syncing Moto Q Calendar with a Mac?

I want to get the motorola q for my girlfriend. she wants to be able to sync her calendar on the q, and any appointments she types in with her Mac computer. Would the program missing sync do the job for that? Does she need to have Microsoft Outlook or something else loaded?

She was hoping she could just plug it into her computer and it would automatically sync.

I also so a program somewhere SyncCal or something like that that would sync to Google Calendar online. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with that?

Thank you very much,

~J

My apologies for posting on 2 forums. I have searched through this forum and have not found the answer I am looking for. Is it possible to sync the Motorola Q with a Mac and do a Calendar Sync so everything that is typed in on the Q can be transferred to the Mac and vise versa?

I can't tell if the "Missing Sync" program will do it or not. I've seen mention of ICal, I do not have a Mac but would figure that is a program that possibly comes with it, can that be synced with the Q? How easy is it to sync?

I was hoping I could get it to the point that I have with my Treo 700wx and my PC where I can plug it in at night and it will sync and charge.

Is this possible to do? I'm trying to get this for my girlfriend, but if there are going to be a lot of problems and if it isn't something I could just setup for her and let her do, maybe it isn't a good idea. I just know she walks around with a planner that she writes stuff down in, I thought this would be a lot better.

The other option is if there is something that can do 2 way syncing with Google Calendar. Then she could type events in on Google Calendar and have them synced with the Q and vice versa.

Is there anything like that that would work well?

Thank you very much, I apologize for the amount of questions, just hoping to get the Q as a present and want to make sure it can do what I want it to do before I order it.
