 |  Music / Ringtones Ok... here is my problem: I have been making ringtones for awhile now... on this new Q it has been so nice to just cut up a song, save it as a .mp3 and off i go, send it via bluetooth and i got myself a ringtone... not brain surgery... now here is where i ran into a snag.... .... the past 3 tones i have made go through just fine. i have made the small file sizes thinking it might have something to do with that... but i have ringtones that are 1 MB in size (i know its large but its only 1 and i wanted great sound quality on that one) but most are about 300 KB... now when i go to a contact, go to custon ringtone, place it in there and change fields, the ringtone field changes to NONE... .... does anyone know why its doing that. Like i said, tried changing the file size and nothing, the song length is about 30 sec, i know that it is useless for longer then that being that a ring doesnt really go longer... ANY HELP IS BETTER THEN WHAT I HAVE COME UP WITH  |

| damn, i thought I posted a reply a few hours ago? maybe a glitch in the boards? anyways, what bitrate are you encoding your *.mp3's at?

I then took those mp3 files and saved them to my Q using the info above. I wouldn't recommend using the entire mp3, as they take between 3-7 megs per entire song and your phone won't use more tha 30-45 seconds of song before going to voicemail. Good luck.
