Macbook Pro freezes up after physically removing USB from computer.

I have a Macbook Pro and my MotoQ which I am currently syncing with Missing Sync and every time that I am finished syncing and disconnect my USB cable my Mac freezes and I have to reboot. When I reboot it says that Mac OS X had encountered a problem and had to quit. Has anyone else had this problem? If so and you have a solution please post. I have tried "properly disconnecting" the phone and "improperly disconnecting..." Thanks
