Not to stray off topic, but it's a bit of a pain. Smartphones are all about organization and it's difficult when you swap phones as regularly as I do. My usage patterns are anything but normal.

So you are actually using the Missing Sync program..... did you get it for free when it was beta? Can you zip it and email it to me?

Sure thing, as soon as I finish banning you for violating forum rules for asking for commercial software.

If you have a Mac and a Q, there is no choice but to use Missing Sync. It's most certainly worth the investment.

I just bought Missing Sync. I had a few issues. One being with my contacts moving over right. Turns out every name needs a last name. The next , my photos would not transfer over. You need to write a script with software that comes in the OS, to forward it to the right folder. I haven't loaded any songs yet so Im not syncing the media yet.

I have been able to sync my Q with my Dell laptop but I'm having trouble using my Q as a modem for my Imac. I have been trying to sync a Q to an Imac using the missing sync. When I use the USB cord everything seems to sync. I get the five stars and everything seems to be in sync. The one thing I can't seem to get to work is the Q as a modem for the Imac. I get a message telling me to check the modem configuration. Any suggestions? My service is through alltel.

I had the same problem. i have had no problem with missing sync.. definitley worth the money.

if my computer (mac) does not have bluetooth, in your instructions in the main Mac forum it said to get something? I can't just use missing link and then the cord the phone comes with? And if i don't really have a calender or contacts on my computer since its not much use to me, what else significant can i do with the connection to my mac? before i spend 40 bucks

well, instead of paying for ringtones, i drag my itunes files to my phone and use them as ringtones.. the whole song..

i do use the calender so i sync that..

and you know how we can't send pics to those w/o windows mobile?
well, you can just plug in and transfer pics to your computer and email them or do whatever youd like to.

and its easier to install updates ive heard..

yeah definently...do you think you could help explain to me how you make those music files the ringtone. I added a song to my library on my phone but i couldn't see how to make it my ringtone. Thanks.

never pay for ring tones... millions of free ones out there. you might want to "trim" the music files to like 30 seconds, that is all you will hear anyway. to use them as a ring tone they must reside in \Application Data\Sounds or in the root of your storage card.
