System Tools or Repair Help! Installing Opera Mini in Moto Q

I'm trying to install Opera Mini in my Motorola Q. I have already downloaded the Java in my Q and have the operamini file in my phone already.

Everytime I open the operamini file to install, it connects me on the Internet and would prompt me to type in a website address which I did. http://mini.opera.com and then install. But after that it's asking me to put in the midilet name???

Can anybody post in here the proper way to install Opera Mini step by step?

Btw, I'm on Bell Mobility. (I sometimes wonder if these guys block the program so they can ding me more with data usage by using IE.)

Thank you in advance!

It's a bit of a pain, but it works. On your PC navigate to the Opera Mini download site. Choose Generic under Device. Choose MIDP 1.0 basic version (English International). When you get to the download page, hover the mouse pointer over the .jad file so you can see the url n your bowser's status bar.

Now open Java on your Q (I assume you're using IBM's J9) and select Install (left soft key). Type the url (from the PC) in the box (on your Q). That should connect, download and install OM.

I would give you the url, but I'm not at a computer at the moment--posting from my Q using Opera Mini.

Default Got it....

I finally get to install it. Thank you for your help.

I have another question. I can't find the icon for Opera Mini to launch it again. It's not in Start.

This means you have an older version of the J9 JVM. You need to get the latest version.

Look at the file name you downloaded from the IBM Web site. This is the name of the newest one:
ibm-weme-wm50-sp-arm-midp20_6.1.1.20061110-161633.exe

I found it after I google it. The Q doesn't vibrates any more when I'm using Opera Mini.
