remove text messaging - Motorola Q Forum

I have over 6000 text messages. My phone keeps freezing up. I need to delete them. But how?

Deleting Text Messages...
Go to start menu> Messaging> text messages> click on menu (Rt soft key)> scroll down to folders & select it> pick the folder you want to clear messages from> Menu (Rt soft key) and Clear Text Messages. Give it some time, that's a lot of messages and the phone will be busy for awhile. You may have to do this a little bit at a time, also. Good idea to clean your texts from time to time, I do every week or so.

i think his problem is that the Q freezes when he tries to go to the Text Messages.

well, Jeyo loads them on the pc which could make the deleting more convenient.. on the other hand, i never had that many txt messages, i'm not that popular :}
