So what i am looking for are the following and I am wandering if they all have to be added on or if it just comes with the ability in the phone already.
1 GPS capability does it have it? or would i just need to use google maps?
2 Does it come with some type of media player such as a Mp3?
3 Does it have a good organizer? for scheduling appointments or basic to dos
4 How is the battery life?
5 Can i use it as a Modem?
6 Does it have some type of micrsoft word capability?
So anyone that would like to teach someone that knows hardly anyhting I'd be a good person to talk to if you could answer all or a few of these questions and maybe direct me to the best phone for what i need. Thanks |
1. Yes. You can use it with Windows Live Search and Google Maps for free. You can also use it with Sprint Navigation, but that costs extra. Other ppl have tried to use it with other GPS programs with varying degrees of success;
2. If you mean a media player, then yes. However, you may want to get a more robust media player. Search here for TCPMP;
3. Yes, it has a basic organizer, but you may want to upgrade it - search here for Papyrus, Extreme Agenda, and Agenda One;
4. Great with the extended battery;
5. Yes, you can pay Sprint $15/mo for the phone as modem plan, or just get PDAnet for a one time charge of $35 to tether - search here for PDAnet;
6. Docs to go comes preinstalled, which will let you create, edit, and read Word docs (among others).
The Q9c is a great phone. Do a little reading around here for more specific info and to gauge the experience of other users.
