Well, hello. I recently signed up with a Sprint SERO Plan, since my contract with Verizon had expired; after some deliberation during the sign up process I decided to get a Moto Q 9c. I was looking back and forth between reviews and I was sleepy so I just nodded and clicked in the end.
We'll see how this plays out.
This is my first smartphone, and it has so far proven a moderate threat to my health, sleep, and work habits-- as all new devices are. I got the phone, and started tinkering, and was inevitably fixated as to how to change, well,
everything to my liking.
At this point I'd like to note (thus also probably inviting some sneers) that my major headache thus far has been that I do have a computer that runs Windows-- I run Ubuntu Linux. (This might also be related to the tinkering tendencies.) Thus, it is a bit of an inconvenience to use ActiveSync, since at this point I have to borrow someone else's computer to perform the many fun hacks I would like to unleash. Oh well.
There are some open-source projects I'm following up on that may be able to provide ActiveSync functionality (and already do, but not for Windows Mobile 6) for non-Win/Mac machines, so instead of whining, maybe I'll be able to contribute some information for other weirdos like me.
Anyway, I think that's enough of an introduction. Thanks, and I look forward to learning from all of you.
