Almost A New Q User

Hey everyone. I found this site actually looking for information and reviews on the Q. I don't have one yet, but am very close to picking one up. I have a couple questions that I'd hope you guys would be able to answer. First off, one thing I've heard at looking through different reviews is that the battery life is real sketchy. I'm not a HEAVY phone talker, but I'm definately going to be using it for projects, appointments, texting, and that kind of nonsense. Is this lack of battery life a real issue, or has it been fixed over the time its been out? Also, my phone has to be sexy ... How is the customize-ability on the phone: can mp3's from my computer be transferred to be used as ringtones? , can I change the background of the screen? One last thing; what are the biggest flaws that you find with it? I apologize for such a long post and would appreciate any help you can offer. I just can't wait to get rid of my last mistake (LG Chocolate).

first off welcome and enjoy your Q when you get it

1. the battery life isnt the greatest on the phone. heavy surfing and texting wil drain your battery. i can usually go a day without charging...although i have an extended battery and yes i recommend you getting it.
2. this phone is very customizable. read up on the hacks section or any of the other forums and you cant go wron. you can do almost anything...almost!
3. yes you can make mp3 ring tones for custom contacts and change the homescreen...read the new user guide and the homescreen forum
4. one of the biggest flaws is well the battery life...kinda sucks but oh well. the other would be the lack of office apps. you have to purchase documents to go in order to edit MS files. but by default the Q can just view the files.

Definately helps out. Im gonna try and get out either today or tomorrow and pick it up. That black Q is NICE. Thanks again. (Rep Given) I look forward to keeping up with these boards too. Looks like a lot of helpful advice.
