Default Volume Problems

I just bought a pair of headphones for my Moto Q and the volume from WMP is pathetically low. Is there a hack or anything out there that will make the volume higher? It's at 100% on the WMP and I can hear everything around me just fine--which is rather annoying while walking across a college campus.

Also, I my ringers are all too quiet, I often miss calls while my phone is in my pocket. How can I fix this? I have the ringtone volume on LOUD, but it is far from LOUD.

Thanks in advance!

make your own ringers with Audacity and increase the volume..works perfect aand the higher quality mp3 the crisper and louder it sounds.. HD ringtones. =)

I tried that, doesn't work. Still ridiculously quiet.
