Default Video Clips are choppy when played.

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about how to fix windows media player. When I try to play any videoclip small or big, it plays choppy and freezes, and will not stay full screened. Does anyone know how to fix this or is the Q not meant to be able to play videos?

I hate WMP, you should try Core Player

Default Core Player Choppy

I installed Core Player and it worked great with the first couple of videos, but now it's choppy. The audio runs steady for the most part, but the video freezes for seconds at a time or stutters. I have tried doing a full cold-boot of the phone, but no joy. I have the same problem whether I am viewing .wmv or mp4 format. Will a registry speed hack have any effect? Anyone have any ideas?

What I have found is that the only format that will play steadily is mpeg. Try it and you will see that I am right. I even converted a wmv file that would play very choppy to mpeg and found that it plays with no problem now. However, I still have problems with larger files. For instance, I have an episode of Entourage which is only a half-hour show on my storage card and in mpeg format, but it does not play perfectly.

All in all my opinion- The Moto Q is a decent phone but it can't keep up with the times. Verizon still doesn't know when they are going to release Windows Mobile 6. Got to live with it for now until something better comes out.

Sometimes you have to change the video setting under options -> video -> video driver. Yous should also install the video plugins for FLAC, MPEG, etc.....
