Default use music ringtones

i have a black q

when i do a voice recording it will automatically show up in my ringtones section. however the quality sucks when you do music.

how can i link the music off of my 2 gig storage card to the ringtone select section?

It should do that automatically. I just hit the silver "enter" button and it opens up a drop down sort of list and I choose what song I want.

mine isnt doing squat. I took the card out replaced it, nothing. Turned the phone off then on again, nothing. I started media player, menu, update...says 1 file found and updated but in the my music under all 4 tabs there is nothing.

also checked under sounds, ringtones and nothing there either. I can go into file manager. go to storage card find it and play it through media player but that is it.

When you have the files you want to set as ringtones on your memory card, just open up your file manager and go to Storage Card. Select all rintones by Menu > Selection and then once you have all of them selected hit File > Move To > then move them to My Documents. The ringtones have to be in My Documents in order for them to be set as ringtones. Hope this helps! :]

you can also put them in the root of the mini sd/storage card, when there they should also come up as ring tones.

I've read that they either have to be on your device in the application data/sounds folder or on your storage card in the root directory ie. no folder.

If they are accesable for you in My Documents let us know for most of use are giving out the above info.

Yep, he did try but he left a detail out and Dr Q got it right.

All the files have to be in the root directory of your storage card ... no subfolders. The phone will play full mp3s as ringtones that way
